Eugene Ferraro Presents "Effective Employment Screening and Modern Workplace Hotlines" Seminar to Alabama Association of Nonprofits

 

Eugene Ferraro , CEO and Founder of Business Controls, Inc.,  presented a seminar on the topic  "Effective Pre-employment Screening and Modern Workplace Hotlines" to the Alabama Association of Nonprofits.  Mr. Ferraro, drawing from his years of experience and expertise as a Certified Fraud Examiner, shared his ideas on industry best practices related to internal controls and fraud  during a webinar simulcast presentation on June 20, 2011.
The need for this type of presentation came from several instances of fraud and abuse that plagued museums throughout Alabama.  The Alabama Museums Association immediately sought help for getting the word out to all members of the Association about how they could safeguard their assets, implement risk management standards, and implement ways to capture reports of fraud and abuse.
John Stone, President and CEO of the Alabama Association of Nonprofits  stated   " The attendees walked away with a strong understanding of the hiring and screening practices needed to ensure security .   He made "several recommendations at the end [of the seminar} that they look into [BCI's risk mitigation solutions] for future business service."  Under a partnership with Philadelphia Insurance, BCI serves as a trusted business partner and loss control resource for the thousands of commercial policyholders that Philadelphia insures.   BCI was thrilled to share as a subject matter expert  to an audience of internal audit professionals, risk managers, compliance officers and CFO's who are members of the Alabama Museums Association.
