Autumn L. Lowry, M.A., Forensic Psychology
Autumn Lowry is the Manager of the Professional Services team and is a Behavioral Sciences Specialist for Business Controls, Inc. Ms. Lowry’s areas of expertise include workplace investigations on topics such as employee misconduct, substance abuse, theft, harassment, and discrimination. In addition, she conducts threat assessments for workplace violence incidents and a multitude of trainings for corporations. She is also a contributing editor for BCInsights, a monthly newsletter published by BCI.
Ms. Lowry obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Criminal Justice, from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. Further, she completed her Master of Arts Degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. Before joining BCI, Ms. Lowry worked for a Psychologist who specialized in the assessment and evaluation of adult criminals. Ms. Lowry’s responsibilities included the assessment of mental health disorders, violence and risk assessments, and therapy and placement recommendations for the court. She wrote Psychological Evaluation Reports which outlined the offenders’ static and dynamic risk factors that influenced their likelihood to re-offend, and engage in violent behavior. These experiences gave Ms. Lowry specialized knowledge in psychological assessment, risk and violence assessment, interpretation of psychological instruments, and working with diverse populations.
Since working for BCI, Ms. Lowry has managed numerous Workplace Violence Threat Assessments and corporate investigations in a variety of employment settings across all industry sectors. Further, she has conducted training for both corporate executives, and their employees, on topics such as workplace violence, sexual harassment, and the Process of  Workplace Investigations. Currently,  Ms. Lowry oversees employee training with several large restaurant chains on  I-9 compliance and wage and hour regulations.
